1. Cut two 1x3 boards to 24 in for the tabletop.
2. Cut two 1x3 boards to 24 in for the table legs.
3. Cut four 1x3 boards to 20 in for the apron.
4. Set the miter box to 45 degrees and cut the ends of the apron boards at a 45-degree angle.
5. Assemble the apron by gluing the mitered edges together and securing with 24 in bar clamps for 30 minutes.
6. Drill pilot holes through the apron into the legs using a drill with a 1/8 in bit, then secure with wood screws (1.25 in).
7. Attach the tabletop to the apron using wood glue and 1.25 in screws, ensuring it is centered and flush with the edges.
8. Sand all surfaces with 120-grit sandpaper for a smooth finish. Optionally, apply a wood finish or sealant as desired.
