Closet Rod & Shelf Install

Instructions

1. Measure the width of the closet and cut one 1x4 board to 48 in for the shelf.

2. Cut one 1x2 board to 48 in for the closet rod support.

3. Use a stud finder to locate the studs in the wall and mark their positions with a pencil.

4. Drill pilot holes into the 1x4 shelf board at 16 in intervals using a drill with a 1/8 in bit.

5. Attach the 1x4 shelf board to the wall using 2 in wood screws, ensuring it is level with a level tool.

6. Cut the closet rod to 48 in using a saw.

7. Drill pilot holes into the 1x2 support board at 48 in and attach it to the wall using 2 in wood screws, ensuring it is level.

8. Install the closet rod brackets according to the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring they are spaced correctly for the rod.

9. Place the closet rod into the brackets and secure it according to the manufacturer's instructions.
