Cut Flower Garden

Instructions

1. Choose a garden bed area of 4 feet by 8 feet with full sun exposure.

2. Prepare the soil by tilling 2 inches deep and mixing in 2 bags (1.5 cu ft each) of compost.

3. Mark rows 12 inches apart in the garden bed using a garden rake.

4. Plant 1 packet (approximately 100 seeds) of mixed cut flower seeds in each row, following the seed packet's planting depth instructions.

5. Water the seeds gently with a garden hose until the soil is moist but not soggy.

6. Apply a layer of mulch (2 inches thick) over the soil to retain moisture and suppress weeds.

7. Use garden snips to harvest flowers when they are in full bloom, cutting stems at an angle about 6 inches from the base.

8. Fill a conditioning bucket with water and place freshly cut flowers in it immediately after harvesting.
