Embroidery Hoop Wall Art

Instructions

1. Cut a piece of fabric 12x12 inches.

2. Place the fabric in a 10-inch embroidery hoop, tightening the screw to secure it.

3. Transfer your chosen design onto the fabric using a water-soluble fabric marker.

4. Thread a 24-inch length of embroidery floss and tie a knot at the end.

5. Stitch the first core stitch (backstitch) along the outline of your design, using 2 strands of floss.

6. Change to the second stitch (satin stitch) to fill in any shapes, using 3 strands of floss.

7. Use the third stitch (French knot) to add texture, making 5 knots in your design.

8. Switch to the fourth stitch (chain stitch) for outlining, using 2 strands of floss.

9. For the fifth stitch (lazy daisy), create flower petals, using 2 strands of floss.

10. Finish with the sixth stitch (whipped backstitch) along the edges, using 2 strands of floss.

11. Trim excess fabric around the hoop to about 1 inch, then fold it over the back and secure with hot glue.
