Linocut Print Kit

Instructions

1. Cut a 4x6 inch linoleum block to size using a utility knife.

2. Sketch your design on paper, then transfer it to the linoleum block using carbon paper.

3. Carve the linoleum block using a linocut tool set, removing areas you want to remain uninked.

4. Roll out 2 oz of water-based block printing ink on a glass or acrylic surface using a brayer until it is evenly distributed.

5. Apply the ink to the carved linoleum block using the brayer, ensuring even coverage over the raised areas.

6. Place a sheet of printmaking paper (8x10 inches) over the inked block, aligning it carefully.

7. Press down firmly on the paper using a clean, dry cloth or a baren to transfer the ink to the paper.

8. Carefully peel the paper off the block to reveal your print; repeat for additional prints as desired.
