Instructions

1. Cut three 1x4 boards to 48 inches each using a miter saw.

2. Cut three 1x4 boards to 4 inches each for the ledge fronts using a miter saw.

3. Drill pilot holes in each 48-inch board, spaced every 12 inches, using a drill with a 1/8 in bit.

4. Attach one 4-inch board to the front of each 48-inch board using wood glue and 1.25 in wood screws, ensuring the top edge is flush.

5. Sand all edges and surfaces of the ledges with 120-grit sandpaper until smooth.

6. Paint or stain the ledges to your desired finish, using a paintbrush or roller, and allow to dry completely.
