Beginner1 season$50-$90Amazon7 items

Instructions

1. Fill a soil blocker with 4 cups of seed starting mix and pack it tightly.

2. Press the soil blocker into the seed starting mix to create 12 blocks.

3. Plant 2 tomato seeds in 3 blocks, 2 jalapeño seeds in 3 blocks, 2 cilantro seeds in 3 blocks, and 2 onion seeds in 3 blocks.

4. Water each block gently with a spray bottle until the soil is moist but not soggy.

5. Place the blocks in a sunny location or under grow lights for 12-16 hours a day.

6. Keep the soil moist until seeds germinate, which takes about 7-14 days for tomatoes and jalapeños, and 10-14 days for cilantro and onions.

7. Once seedlings are 2 inches tall, transplant them into larger pots with potting soil, spacing them 12 inches apart.

8. Follow the planting calendar for outdoor transplanting dates based on your local frost dates.
